Shopping on a Budget for Maternity
Work Clothing
Whether your pregnant or
not, for most women the greatest fashion challenge occurs
when they choose their work wardrobe.
Finding the right clothes, which suit both your professional
image and your shape can be frustrating depending on your
career and corporate dress code restrictions. However,
looking great when you're pregnant doesn't have to be
challenging. Especially if you use some of these fashion
tips you will have the stylish and polished look and won't
have to spend a fortune.
- Stick to solid colors and
traditional fabrics. This way you can create more
outfits by mixing and matching a few pieces. Darker
colors give you more wear for each piece. Colors such as
black, gray, navy, and brown can be accented with
scarves and you can change up the outfit simply by
changing the color of your blouse.
- Avoid any clothes, which
make you look bigger. While full cut tops and dresses
may appear to hide your size, they actually make you
look bigger.
- If you dream of wearing
some trendy fashion, but your size keeps you from it,
remember each style and fashion has a coordinating
accessory. Therefore, you can still be in style.
- A great jacket can give
you a polished looked. You can invest in a full cut
blazer if you don't already have on and leave the bottom
buttons open.
- When buying your maternity
clothes, you want to make sure that they are made out of
substantial fabric, such twill, gabardine, and cotton. A
crisp cotton shirt looks more professional than a thin
knit shirt.
- No professional outfit is
without a professional looking pair of shoes. You want
to select shoes with no more than an 11/2-inch heel,
which looks better and will be better for you than
flats.
